1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to DoListo ("we," "our," or "us"). At DoListo, we are committed to providing a minimalist and productive task management experience without compromising your privacy. Our core philosophy is "Privacy by Design."

This Privacy Policy outlines how your information is handled when you use the DoListo mobile and Wear OS application (the "Service"). In short: DoListo does NOT collect, store, track, or transmit any personal data, tasks, or account information to remote servers or third parties. All your data remains strictly on your local device.

2. Information Collection and Storage

A. Data Created & Managed by You (Stored Locally)

When you use DoListo, the application stores all records locally on your device using an encrypted local Android Room Database (SQLite):

• Task Details: Task titles, notes, descriptions, deadlines, priority tags, and completion statuses.
• No Accounts Required: We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide an email address, phone number, or any personal identifier to use the app.
• Offline First: The application is designed to operate entirely offline. Your tasks and productivity data remain on your physical device at all times.

B. System Permissions & Device Features

To provide core productivity features, DoListo requests specific Android system capabilities:

• Notifications: Used strictly to deliver deadline reminders that you configure. These alerts are scheduled and triggered locally on your device by the operating system.
• Exact Alarms: Used to ensure time-sensitive task reminders and notifications trigger precisely at scheduled intervals (e.g., 1 hour before a deadline).
• Storage Access: Requested only when you explicitly trigger the "Export" or "Import" backup features to write or read a JSON backup file in your chosen storage directory.

3. Zero Cloud Transmission & No Third-Party Services

• No Remote Servers: DoListo operates entirely offline. We do not own, maintain, or connect to any remote server or cloud database to collect your task activity.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do NOT integrate third-party analytics SDKs, telemetry frameworks, or behavioral usage tracking tools.
• No Advertisements: DoListo is 100% ad-free and contains no advertising SDKs, ad-trackers, or commercial profiling libraries.

4. Data Safety, Backup & User Control

A. Backup & Data Portability (Export / Import)

Because all data is stored locally, we cannot access or recover your tasks if your device is lost, damaged, or uninstalled. You maintain complete ownership and responsibility for your data:

• Export Backup: You can export your tasks and configurations into a structured JSON backup file from the Settings menu.
• Import Backup: You can restore previously exported JSON backup files into DoListo on any supported Android or Wear OS device.

B. Complete Data Deletion

You have full control over your stored data at all times:

• You can clear individual tasks, completed lists, or reset the app database directly from within the app settings.
• Uninstalling DoListo or clearing app data via your Android System Settings permanently purges all local databases and preference files.

5. Children's Privacy

DoListo does not collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the application collects zero personal identifiers or network telemetry, it fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy standards.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or legal compliance. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
